The firm focuses its practice in the following areas:

  • Corporate and business litigation, including transaction and contract disputes, corporate insiders disputes, including actions by and among shareholders, directors, partners and members of limited liability companies, personnel and employment issues including executives and key personnel, class actions, formation and dissolution issues and operating problems.
  • Public entity law and practice. The firm represents public entities in both prosecution and defense of claims. Representative matters include enforcement of complex municipal regulatory law, including all forms of land use regulation, enforcement of applicable state law including the California Government Code, California Health and Safety Code, and Penal and Vehicles Codes. The firm also defends public entities from claims arising out of the Federal and State Fair Housing Acts and Federal and State Civil Rights Act
  • Real estate and land use litigation of real estate matters including purchase and sale disputes, conflicts among ownership, partition, inverse condemnation, eminent domain, third party claims for damages arising out of the operation of commercial property, including claims for breach of commercial leases, breach of contract, nuisances, adverse possession and inverse condemnation, zoning and land use regulation, accountings, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and landlord-tenant disputes, including matters arising out of FHA and other civil rights laws and similar state and local property regulations.   • Private party and personal rights litigation. Consumer and civil rights litigation under State and Federal Law including the Unruh Act, the Consumers Protection Act, the Magnusson-Moss/Song-Beverly Act, the Fair Housing Act, and the Civil Rights Act.
